IF YOU CAN READ, YOU CAN COOK

It’s totally true! I love to cook, especially for my family and friends. I tell everyone the same thing, “I swear I’m not doing anything special.” Ok, that may not be entirely true, but the things I do are things anyone can do. I often start with a recipe and modify it to my taste or what I think my family will like. The results aren’t always great, but many times a new favorite is born. And to prove it, (this website was my husband’s idea) we have created this site to share what I do, why I do it and how you can do it too. Enjoy!

Prep time / Cook time - too damn long! My husband sends me links to all sorts of recipes he wants me to make. Mostly I ignore them, or put them in the back of my mind, soon to be forgotten or replaced by something else. I finally decided to make one and start adding them to the site. Favorite Family Recipes

Sometimes I like to make things that have been a family recipe for a long, long time. I don’t modify them in any way because to me, they’re already perfect. The last thing I want to do is take credit and instead I want to give all the credit to the people that deserve it.

My favorite foods are always associated with a time or person in my life. In this case, Chicken Rollatini was a favorite of my Aunt Gerri, who was really a "great aunt" but was just Aunt Gerri to me.
