One day while shopping at the local grocery store, a sale on my favorite Italian sausage caught my eye. Lots of recipes I make use Italian sausage so I knew I’d find a use for it somewhere. Eventually, they ended up in a new version of my pepperoni bread– this new thing I’m calling “Italian sausage bread” for lack of something better. It’s the same recipe, but with some garlic and onions added for a little flavor. And it was better after “resting” a day in some tinfoil than it was right out of the oven.
